The skating sessions conducted by The
Skating Club of San Francisco, Inc. (Club), are private
sessions reserved for Club members in good standing and
guests, with the exception of the Power Class which is
open to non-Club members. A maximum of twenty-two (22)
skaters may skate on the ‘High-level’ session
and thirty (30) skaters may skate on the
‘Low-level’ session. Priority for skating on
each of these sessions is given to Home Club Members,
followed by Associate Members, and, if space permits,
guests.
All skaters attending the club's ice session must
check in with the ice monitor before taking to the ice.
For safety reasons, all skaters must follow the
directions of the ice monitor, including leaving the ice
promptly when asked to do so. In addition, skaters may
only warm up on the ice for the session that they have
registered to skate on.
Guest Privileges:
A guest may skate a maximum of three (3) times on a
Club session at the non-member rate after which time they
will be requested to join the Club as an Associate Member
in order to continue skating privileges. An extension to
the three session limit may be granted by the Board upon
review and approval of a written request from the skater
(e.g. for a skater visiting from out of town for the
summer).
Sign-in Procedures for Guests:
A guest is required to sign the Guest Log maintained
by the Ice Monitor prior to taking to the ice at each
session. By the signing the Guest Log, the guest agrees
to abide by Club rules of ice conduct and a standard
limitation of liability (‘skate at your own
risk’). Each guest will be required to sign-in each
date they skate.
Grace Period for Members Delinquent in
Renewal:
Club members who have failed to renew by June 1st are
no longer considered to be in good standing. They will be
allowed to skate a maximum of two (2) times upon payment
of the non-member rate and signing the Guest Log up to
June 30. Members who have not renewed by June 30 will not
be allowed on the ice
Delinquent Members - Testing:
Since The Club’s membership term expires before
the USFSA membership term, a delinquent member may still
be eligible to take a USFSA test on club ice in the month
of June. However, if the delinquent Club member fails to
renew, we will bill the skater for the difference between
the Club member test rate and the non-member rate. A Club
member who has not renewed by July also will not be
eligible to take tests on club ice at the Club member
rate. This candidate must show proof of registration with
the USFSA otherwise the test will be rejected by the
USFSA Central Office.
